Be Part of A Solution
Our social and political climate can feel so inhumane and depressing at times. The best way that we can combat this is by being physically present. These organizations all do different things to be there in person and make a difference in people’s lives.
What do you win?
First and foremost you win the appreciation of so many people to whom this money will benefit. Take joy in supporting our local community.
Each Month of this calendar year will have a new item and a different organization so be sure to check that out are signed up for our email alerts and check our social media posts about the current item available and the associated organization.
The item for February is a wonderful white oak cutting board and an artistic wood burning.
The featured organization is MiSA aka Mitchell Street Arts. I serve on the board of MiSA and I also teach classes there(Including wood burning and a cutting board class). MiSA is a multifaceted organization but one of the things we are most known for in our community are our FREE art classes(most classes have an age requirement of 16+ or 18+). We have a whole host of classes(including ceramics, figure drawing, dance classes, photography, and many more) available and all are welcome. We also have artist residency opportunities, an art gallery open to the public.
