Where do you source your material?

Most of the material is sourced locally from a number of suppliers. A majority of that material comes from the Midwest area.

Do you work with laminates or painted projects?

As of 2025 WFD no longer accepts projects involving painted wood or of laminates of any kind. We believe in the warmth and love of wood and we do not mar the surface of natural materials with paint.

Do you offer built in furniture?

WFD does not do any building on site as our specialty and skill is in the workshop. When on site work is required you will be required to hire a professional carpenter for any on site work. WFD will not be responsible for any improper instillation.

How long does a project take?

Most projects have a lead time of 6-8 weeks, although some may take longer depending on specific details of the design.

What do you finish the wood with?

High quality lacquer. All projects are finished with a sprayed on lacquer as it offers superior toughness to scratches and to moisture. No finish is 100 percent scratch proof or waterproof and owners must know or learn proper maintenance and cleaning of wood.
